Invitation To Attend Indonesian Citizens’ Legal Aid Scheme (I-CLAS) Training Session

18th February 2025 (Tuesday) | 10:00 am to 4:30 pm


The Indonesian Citizens’ Legal Aid Scheme (“I-CLAS”) is a collaborative initiative between the Malaysian Bar and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia. This scheme aims to provide Indonesian nationals in Malaysia with access to legal aid in criminal, immigration, employment, family, syariah, and other areas of law covered by the Legal Aid Centres (LACs). In addition, I-CLAS includes outreach programmes to educate the Indonesian community on Malaysian laws and their legal rights.


Funded by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, I-CLAS operates on sustainable funding model, ensuring that participating lawyers receive reimbursement for expenses and remuneration for services rendered, allowing them to focus on delivering justice.


We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming I-CLAS Training Session, organised by the Selangor Legal Aid Centre the details of which are as follows:


Date: 18 February 2025 | Tuesday

Time: 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

Venue: Bar Council Auditorium, Wisma Badan Peguam,

Kuala Lumpur


Eligibility and Registration:

1. The training is free of charge, but advance registration is required as the seats are limited to 25 only

2. This training is open only to lawyers who have been in practice for a minimum of one year. Upon completion of the training, participants will be empanelled as I-CLAS lawyers, and will be eligible to take up cases under this scheme.


Registration Deadline:

Registration closes at 12:00 PM on 14 February 2025 (Friday) or earlier if all slots are filled. Late registrations will not be accepted.Registration Link:HERE
