Dear Members of the Selangor Bar,



The Selangor Bar is pleased to invite nominations for the Selangor Bar Rule of Law Award 2026.



The Rule of Law Award recognises a member of the Selangor Bar who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and made an outstanding personal contribution towards upholding the rule of law, advancing access to justice, exemplifying integrity, leadership, and promoting public legal education.



This Award seeks to honour members whose dedication, service, and advocacy have made a meaningful impact on the legal profession and the community, while inspiring others through their unwavering commitment to justice and the highest standards of professional conduct.



Award Criteria

The Award recognises an individual legal practitioner who has made an outstanding personal contribution in the following areas:

-	Upholding the Rule of Law;

-	Access to Justice;

-	Integrity 

-	Leadership; and

-	Public Legal Education.



Eligibility

-	Any individual member of the Selangor Bar may submit a nomination.

-	The nominee must be a current individual member of the Selangor Bar.



The Award

The recipient will be presented with the Selangor Bar Rule of Law Award 2026 during the Selangor Bar Law Conference 2026.



The Selangor Bar will also bear the conference registration fee for the successful nominee to attend the Conference and receive the Award.



Nomination Process

Nominations must be submitted via email to secretariat@sgorbar.org and must include the completed Nomination Form (Page 3) as an attachment.

Submission Deadline: 20th August 2026 (Thursday)



Assessment Process

All nominations will be evaluated by an independent assessment panel. The panel's decision shall be final.
