Litigation Lawyer
- To work with the litigation team in our litigation department;
- To assist in legal research, court filings, drafting of cause papers, getting involved in getting-up for hearings and trials, and appearing in court etc;
- To assist in preparing litigation documents for whatever matters handled by the law firm;
- To maintain and update file status on our operation systems; and,
- To attend case management, court hearings, trials and meetings;
- 3-4 years' experience in litigation(mainly civil litigation);
- We seek to employ a committed and responsible individual with strong analytical and communication skills, as well as good work ethics;
- Proactive and is a good team player;
- Able to take instruction from the supervising lawyer and execute them accordingly in a timely manner;
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision;

Corporate Lawyer
- To work in our corporate department and assist in all corporate commercial matters;
- To prepare legal correspondence, legal documents, and other documents for our corporate clients;
- To assist in the review and drafting of corporate and commercial agreements such as non-disclosure, share sale /subscription, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, software agreements (assignment /licensing), service agreements and various other commercial agreements for clients;
- To assist in handling occasional intellectual property matters mostly related to trademark filings and maintenance of the trademark portfolio of clients;
- To handle the drafting of wills;
- To also assist with conveyancing matters as needed such as sale and purchase agreements (sub-sale), tenancy agreements, perfection of transfer and charge, discharge of charge /receipt and reassignment, etc.;
- To organize and maintain correspondence and documentation for client matters whether in the form of paper or electronic filing;
- To attend client meetings, or attend work at the offices of clients and discussions with other professional advisors as required;
- To help prepare for meetings and assist with other tasks as needed;
- To assist in in conducting research on the legal and regulatory framework as required for client matters;
- To liaise with clients, banks /financiers and relevant government and regulatory authorities;
- To provide administrative support for documents and activities related to company formations, corporate restructurings, acquisitions, and divestitures;
- To work on ad hoc projects as needed;
- Called to the Malaysian Bar;
- At least 2 years' experience in corporate practice is preferred;
- Strong analytical and communication skills, as well as good work ethics;
- Organized and meticulous;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Proficient in English; and
- The ability to converse and write in the Mandarin language is an added advantage.
